Skylar “SCKY REI” Reed, an Omaha-born, St. Louis-based multidisciplinary artist, is recognized for his vibrant works in both visual art and music. His creations shine a spotlight on underrepresented characters of color, especially through his recurring figure “Prayer Boy” and a signature floral motif. SCKY REI’s colorful compositions merge personal expression with cultural representation, often challenging traditional boundaries within the fine art world.

As a musician, SCKY has earned recognition both solo and as part of the duo BXTH (formerly BOTH), sharing stages with notable artists like Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, and Atmosphere, and performing at major events such as SXSW and the Baxter Arena opening for Flo Rida. His work has earned accolades including multiple OEAA Awards for Best Hip Hop and Artist of the Year, as well as audience awards for Out of Omaha, produced by J. Cole.

In the visual arts, SCKY’s solo exhibitions, including “In My Mind” at BFF Art Gallery in Omaha, have highlighted his dynamic style. He’s also showcased his work in group exhibitions at Chicago’s Tangerine Gallery and Hot Shops Art Center. Recently, he launched a collectible art figure, “Prayer Boy,” expanding his artistic reach.

Outside of his creative endeavors, SCKY is involved in freelance design, studio work for his clothing brand SCKY REI Studios, and fine art prints. He shares his life and creativity with his family—his daughter Nora and his wife, fellow artist and influencer Anu Reed (known as ANUQN), who specializes in photography, graphic design, and fashion.
